Throughout June, Wolfson ran an online auction to raise funds for the Student Hardship Appeal. The auction was great success, raising over £12,500 for students in need as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

Alongside a range of vintage wines from the Wolfson cellar, the auction also included a range of exclusive signed items: ‘Sonnet’, a print by Bridget Riley; a signed copy of Magnetic Field by Honorary Fellow and Poet Laureate Simon Armitage; a signed copy of Twaiku Eiryu by our very own President, Sir Tim Hitchens; and a signed copy of the new book Lives of Houses, co-edited by Dame Hermione Lee and Kate Kennedy.

In the auction we had over 30 successful bids, and among the wines the most popular was a Chateau Lanessan 2009.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the auction and made it such a success.
