Wolfson is proud to announce the newly refurbished Buttery has been shortlisted for an Oxford Preservation Trust award.

Each year, the Oxford Preservation Trust Awards celebrate the contribution that buildings and environmental projects can make to Oxford’s character, its streets, and its green spaces. The Awards Evening, when all the year’s entries are displayed and the winners are announced, will be in February 2021. This year marks the first time that there will be a winner of the new OPT Green Award, which celebrates those projects that demonstrate exemplary work towards sustainability.

Wolfson reopened the newly refurbished Buttery in 2019. The innovative improvement project, designed by BGS Architects, links the Old Lodge and Buttery to the Academic Wing. The design creates a fully accessible multifunctional space that can be used for formal and informal dining, boardroom style meetings, seminars and lectures. In these times of social distancing it has proved to be accommodating to the Freshers’ Fair and various online events which were filmed there.
