Alev Ozkazanc Kozakli is a Turkish academic studying the place of women in Turkish society. In this, her first talk at Wolfson, she will describe her own story; the way in which the position of academics in Turkey has dramatically changed since 2015, and what this means for Turkey in the broadest sense. Personal testimony and intellectual determination: it will be a fascinating evening.
