Letters from America, 1865: An English Quaker and the ‘emancipated negroes’ a talk by Ben Simpson “Was there ever a grander field for our sympathy, and our active, personal, immediate help?” This talk is arranged as part of the Old Wolves series of events but is open to all. No charge – no booking needed. Ben has been a member of Wolfson since 1987. He retired in 2009 and is an honorary Member of Common Room. Ben was a magistrate for 40 years. His interests include building construction, policing, equality & human rights, poetry, and family history.
