South Korean pianist JongSun Woo has performed in some of the UK’s leading venues, such as Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room Southbank centre, St. John’s Smith Square, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, West Road Concert Hall, and has made concerto appearances with the King’s College London Symphony Orchestra, New Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, Aldwych Sinfonia, University of Southampton Sinfonietta and Melos Sinfonia.
In 2008, JongSun was awarded a scholarship under the Government Music and Dance Scheme to study with Patsy Toh at the Purcell School of Music. In 2010, she won a scholarship to continue her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she has recently graduated with First Class BMus Honours. Since graduation, she has taken part in solo and chamber music masterclasses at the 2015 International Musicians’ Seminar Prussia Cove with Ferenc Rados and Rita Wagner and at Berbiguieres with the Dante Quartet.
