Congratulations to Wolfson Research Fellow Mehrnoosh Sadrzadeh, awarded a five-year EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowship. Sadrzadeh’s research project, ‘Foundational Structures for Compositional Meaning’, utilizes the theoretical and experimental underpinnings of a recent research breakthrough on modeling meanings of sentences, inspired by the diagrammatic methods of modeling quantum protocols.

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council’s (EPSRC), Career Acceleration Fellowships are highly sought after, and Sadrzadeh was one of approximately 450 applicants who applied for the 25 prestigious awards.

Mehrnoosh Sadrzadeh will be working with three project partners – the Universities of Utrecht and Cambridge, and Google.

More information on Sadrzadeh’s work can be found in a recent copy of the New Scientist and the latest edition of the Oxford University Computer Science Departement's Inspired Research Newsletter.
