Huw David has served as the Development Director of the Rothermere American Institute, Oxford's department for teaching and research in American history, politics and culture where he led and managed the Institute's multi-million-pound fundraising campaign.

Before Mr David spent time completing his DPhil in Anglo-American History at Lincoln College. His first book, Trade, Politics, and Revolution: South Carolina and Britain's Atlantic Commerce, 1730-1790, was published by the University of South Carolina Press in November 2018.

The College President, Sir Tim Hitchens said: “I am delighted that Huw has decided to join us here at Wolfson at the start of a new chapter in the College's development. Huw brings with him an excellent track record in fund-raising; as important, he also represents the research-driven, ambitious and engaging style which is true to this College and the modern Oxford. We are all looking forward to his arrival.”
