Dr Susan Walker awarded Leverhulme Emeritus Fellowship

The Fellowship is to support the publication of the letters of the English 19th-century collector Charles Wilshere to the Vatican's archaeologist, the great scholar and founding father of early Christian archaeology, Giovanni Battista de Rossi. Walker came across the letters in the Vatican Library in 2013 while researching Wilshere for an Ashmolean publication of his collection (Saints and Salvation, 2017).

Join Dr Walker's talk on Zoom about "The House of Venus: living it up in late Roman Volubilis", 7 May 2020, 13:30.
