Health & Safety at Work
Contractor Visiting Procedure
The College has a responsibility for the Health and Safety of contractors and others whom it employs.
New legislation regarding Health and Safety and Working at Height has recently come in, and it is essential that the college, in the form of the relevant Head of Department should be aware of the contractors presence on site, should have carried out a Risk Assessment, discussed this with the contractor, and given consent for the work to proceed. Students and members of college or staff who are not authorised to do this should not give instructions or allow access to contractors.
Any member of the College seeking to appoint contractors must initially contact facilities [dot] manager [at] wolfson [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk (The Facilities Manager)
