Computing Facilities in the Library
Laptop Computers
There are power sockets and, wireless and ethernet connection points for use with laptop computers in the Library.
Both EduRoam and OWL wireless networks are available to library users who wish to use their own laptop computers. Please see our Wireless Networking page for details of how to use this facility.
Additionally, every library carrel, all of the desks in the Jessop Room, and certain other parts of the library have ethernet sockets to connect personal computers to the Internet. To connect your computer in this way you must have registered it for use on the College ethernet.
Workstations
A range of computers, both PCs and MACs, in the Library, offer access to email, web browsing, standard office software and SPSS and have printing facilities. Please login to library PCs using your Oxford Single Sign On (SS0)otherwise available in the computer room. College members should use their University Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials to log onto these workstations.
In addition Apple iMac computers provide access to Apple specific software packages as well as general internet browsing. College members without SSO credentials may use these workstations under the Guest login. Please remember that any files created as Guest must be saved to a memory stick if you wish to keep them.
Regulations on the use of online services
Users of online services should ensure that they are aware of and abide by any restrictions on use imposed by the providers of those services.
Computing at Wolfson is subject to College and University Rules; IT Support is provided within certain guidelines.
Printing & Scanning
A networked photocopier provides laser printing and scanning facilities in the Library lobby. The Library provides duplex colour laser printing courtesy of a Kyocera TaskAlpha 250ci photocopier device. A fixed charge is made for each page printed on this device which is charged to monthly battels accounts. Printing is charged at 4 pence per page Scans are free of charge. A second, identical machine is available behind the Lodge.

Microfilm Reader
There is a microfilm reader for the use of all on the Library Mezzanine Floor.
Library Carrels
Application forms for a library carrel can be obtained from the accommodation [dot] office [at] wolfson [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk (Accommodation Office) There are two casual carrels, A241 and A239 both to be found in the Floersheimer Room which may be used for short periods. The signing in sheets can be found in the Floersheimer Room.
Library Lockers
Library users may use the lockers in the library entrance corridor and Floersheimer room for the short-term storage of books, papers and laptops. Please note that items placed in the lockers are left at the owner's risk. Please apply to the librarian for a locker key.
