All College members are encouraged to dine in Hall as often as possible to enhance the atmosphere of the College.

Children over 8 are allowed in Hall at lunch time. All children are allowed in Hall every evening except at Guest Nights, and are allowed in the Buttery when dinner is served there.

Meal Prices and Subsidies

All our meals are priced according to the cost of the food, with a 'mark-up' towards the additional costs of staff, power, etc. College members receive different levels of subsidy and/or allowances on their food as follows:

Graduate Students 50% subsidy on cooked food at informal meals

Guests of Graduate Students 25% subsidy on cooked food at informal meals, plus VAT.

Fellows Dining allowance of £36 per week

Upper Common Room

Coffee and drinks are served in the Upper Common Room at the following times:

Members are able to make tea and coffee themselves outside these hours.

Children are allowed in the Common Room on Saturdays.

Sunday Coffee Shop

Coffee and cakes served by volunteers from 12:00-15:00 in the Upper Common Room in aid of AMREF, the College charity.
