About the Careers Service
Oxford University Careers Service helps Oxford University students and alumni to make and implement well-informed decisions about their careers. We offer impartial, confidential and comprehensive information, advice and guidance. We promote equality of opportunity for all, and we have specialist resources for those with disabilities.
We can help you whether you know exactly what career you want, or whether you have no idea where to begin. The newly-refurbished Careers Service website allows you to:
- explore career options, both within or outside of academia
- develop professional skills through workshops and online resources
- refine your job-seeking strategies and techniques
- find a job anywhere in the world through our extensive vacancies database
- sign up to receive a weekly email newsletter and vacancy bulletin
- network with Oxford alumni through the Oxford Careers Network
Other services we offer include:
- Events and fairs to inform your career choice and to provide opportunities
- Skills workshops and employer presentations for Oxford students
- A Careers Adviser dedicated to supporting Wolfson College
A Careers Adviser is on duty everyday from 10.30am - 4.30pm (except Thurs morning), just call in to 56 Banbury Road and you can have a preliminary short discussion to help get you started. It doesnt matter if you have no idea where you want to go next, or if you have a specific career path in mind and need help with career planning.
