Lunch and Dinner

Informal meals at Wolfson are held in Hall and give students an excellent opportunity to socialise with their colleagues and to meet other members of the College. Unlike many Oxford colleges, there is no 'high table' - everyone shares the same experience.

The Dining Hall is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday and for Saturday lunch throughout the year, except when the College closes for about ten days at Christmas, and from Good Friday until the following Tuesday, at Easter. Meal charges to graduate students are moderate, and subsidised by the College. A range of hot food and salads is always available. Children over the age of 8 are allowed to accompany their parents for meals in Hall.

Guest Nights and Formal Hall

Guest Night dinners are held once a week during term time. This is an opportunity for members of College to invite friends and colleagues to share a three-course meal with fine wines from the Wolfson Cellar.

Formal Hall is a lower cost served dinner that takes place twice a term.  Please note that there is NO Informal Supper on the night of a Formal Hall.

The Common Room

The Common Room is open for coffee in the mornings and after lunch and dinner and serves drinks before meals. There is a vending machine available for coffee and tea at other times of the day. Children are welcome in the Common Room on Saturdays.

The Wolfson Cellar Bar

Our cellar bar, run by students, serves drinks every evening.

'Barco' has its own website which gives information about what's on.
